Here is what I see. You can make the decision.
Pre-season
You will endure three-hour daily practices starting in the summer a month before school starts. You will have to run and run in the heat of the day. You will practice serving and setting and hitting and blocking and defending until the sweat runs into your eyes. You will compete against your friends at tryouts and only the best will be asked to return the next day.
The season
You will have two-hour practices after school. You will compete twice a week against other teams and some matches will require you to travel several hours from your school. Some weekends, you will be playing eight to ten games a day in tournaments.
The clubs
Now the season is over, and you know that in order to stay competitive, you will have to try out and get accepted onto the best club team. This results in more practices, more travel, more tournaments, and more competitions. Everyone just keeps getting better and so do you.
After high school
The ultimate act is in the battle for college scholarships so the competition can continue.

Volleyball is a game that is fun for people of all ages. While most people have images in their head of freakishly tall athletes jumping out of their shoes at the net to spike a ball, the vast majority of volleyball is played by people who are more inclined to simply return the ball over the net than set it up for a bump, set and spike.

Since volleyball is a relatively simple game, it is a great game for children of all ages to play. Once a child is old enough to throw a ball, they can start simulating some of the functions of volleyball, like the serve, set and possibly spike. As they age, they will start being able to control their ball placement and will gain power and speed on the shots that they make on a regular basis.

Volleyball is a sport that teaches kids the value of teamwork. When properly played, volleyball requires communication and coordination to ensure that all of the areas of the court are covered. It also requires players to share the ball with each other as they set up their teammates and teaches young children the importance of good sportsmanship.

Volleyball is one of the sports that schools offer to students. Kids can also play volleyball with their friends in their front yard or at the park. It is one of the games that can be played anywhere as long as you have a ball that can be hit over the net or back and forth to each other.
Some school systems will offer volleyball to elementary students, but most systems do not begin to offer the sport until middle school. Students can either sign up to play or they can try out for the team. This process is great for kids because it teaches them to try their best, and if they do not make the team, they know that they can try again the next year.I was looking for more information and found it here.
Students who play on a volleyball team learn about working together. If the team does not work together, then they will not win games and they will not be coordinated. There are different positions that are played through the game, and normally, each person plays at least one position. Volleyball also teaches kids that being active can be fun. If kids are active and have something to do, then they are more likely to stay healthy.

Volleyball is a universal sport played by about 800 million people. Many young men and women enjoy playing this sport. It’s a fun sport to play, and you make friends with the same interests as you. A huge perk of playing volleyball is that it gets you in tip top shape. It increases your hand-eye coordination, which is important because otherwise it’s hard to interact properly with anything you see. It also gives you fast reflexes which is also important so you aren’t a slowpoke when something happens to you. You can learn to be a good team player, and how to cooperate with each other to result to good teamwork. Good sportsmanship is key in life. You won’t always have a choice with who you are working with in school, work, wherever it may be. Volleyball can actually teach you some valuable lessons for the future. It’s a hardworking sport, so for those of you who love giving your 110, volleyball is for you! Volleyball gives you toned legs like no other sport knows how to. It will get your body in perfect shape in no time, and it’s not just for how you look, but it will make you feel 10 times healthier once you start playing!

Any sport, no matter what level it is played at from professional to minor leagues, to a children league, is a great way to bring a town or city together, and really show a sense of pride. Sports are a great team building activity, and is a great way for people to come together and really connect with one another. No matter what your gender, race, religious affiliation, or other demographics, during a game, of whatever sport is being played, all fans are cheering for the same team, and can really be brought together by a victory and hard won battle.

Sports is one activity, which can bring all people together. It is a time to watch a game, forget about all your stresses and worries, and just root for your team. So, using sports as a team building and bringing a sense of pride to your city or state, is something which any sports team can do for the people who live in the area. A sense of pride goes a long way, and gives the victors bragging rights, until the next game. No matter what sports you love, building winning is a great way to bring pride to the team and the fans.

Schools should support volleyball more often because it gives young woman and men the opportunity to be part of a team and really gives them an understanding of what it takes to be physically active. Although the sport does not get as much local attention as other sports, it is important to give these athletes the attention that they deserve. Every athlete in high school needs the opportunity to showcase their talents to the community and schools need to support these endeavours with adequate funding and recognition. Student athletes are less likely to become involved in activities that will hamper their high school and future lives so schools must recognize this. They must take a proactive approach to giving these athletes what they need so that they can learn how to better become active citizens. Sports do more than just give students something to do. Volleyball is a sport that teaches students how to work together with one another, how to support one another, and how to deal with adversity when times are bad. These skills are essential for everyone to have and schools must recognize this and support their volleyball teams because they are the future of our country. The information party rocks on: Scholarship Promised, Scholarship Lost

The Georgia Bulldogs Women’s Volleyball program at the University of Georgia is one of the most competitive in its division and its spring season was no different. The Lady Dawgs soundly defeated several opponents while working on bonding and technical elements together during spring training this year. Training concluded last week with a trip to Wilmington, North Carolina over the Dawgs’ Spring Break.
Coaches are hopeful that the team will successfully finish out the spring volleyball season later this month then continue practice over the summer in preparation for the more highly competitive fall volleyball season. Sand training was used in this year’s spring training season to better prepare the women for extended matches in the fall.
Finishing eight in the SEC for the 2010 season, the Lady Dawgs hope to have a stronger performance next year. With a disappointing 15-17 overall record, the team and coaches have a lot of work to do to get prepared for a strenuous season in one of the most competitive conferences in the country. The fall season begins in mid-September and the schedule has yet to be released but the team expects to travel a great deal, particularly to Atlanta. The ladies say they hope to find time to attend a Braves game as well as get outdoors in Atlanta and security is preparing for the travel by researching at www.atlantahomesecurity.com. More updates on the team’s progress will come once the fall season begins.

There are a number of reasons why high school volleyball is a good sport. For starters, it is a really fun sport to watch. Volleyball gives athletes a chance to show their athleticism and skill in a quick paced sports environment. It takes some incredible hand-eye coordination to hit a volleyball being spiked at someone, and it takes just as much skill and hard work to become a good server, setter, or striker. Volleyball showcases a lot of athletic talent in a quick and fun environment; which makes it a great spectators sport.

Besides high school volleyball being a fun sport to watch with great athletes, there are a lot of social and life lesson learned by the players. Volleyball is a game where you have to work together as a team. Players have to be on the same page, they need to be able to communicate effectively, and good teams trust that their players will be in the right position. These are all very important skills to learn and are something that players are going to use in future careers and athletic events.

The team aspect of volleyball is great as well. Players have to spend a lot of time being active and practicing together. This creates for a fantastic bonding experience. It allows high school students to share the same experiences which include winning, losing, and working hard to achieve goals. It is also the foundation for some great friendships that players will develop over time.

It is also important to be able to support these athletes. Volleyball gives high school students a chance to participate in sports and stay active. It is always great to see young students being active in something that they enjoy, and anytime high school students are being active in something productive, that is a good thing.

Don’t be too discouraged if your volleyball team did not make state! There are a few reasons why that could have happened and you cannot be too quick to blame yourself or your teammates. Perhaps, the volleyball program at your school is not large enough to generate too much interest. If there are not enough interested students in playing the sport, the team does not have the advantage of picking the best among many, rather accepting anyone that is interested. This can be remedied by drawing more positive attention to the team and hunting out some solid athletes that would have otherwise never made their way to a try out. Another reason includes not enough time at practice. We know that everyone has many commitments, especially students, but its especially important to insure the team is getting enough practice time in. Find a way to arrange practices around the whole team’s schedule. For some members, this might mean making sacrifices and picking the most important activity. Make sure volleyball is your number one after school activity and make everyone feel that kind of commitment to the team and you’re certain to do better and ultimately make state. Keep on trying!

The best high school volleyball team is the St. Francis Lancers from Mountain View, California. Coached by Ms. Leahi Hall this team is ranked No. 1 in the state of California as well as the Nation. Their overall stats are 35-5-0 and their league stats are 6-0-0. They have an outstanding record. St. Francis is a Catholic College Preparatory School with some amazing athletes. The school’s motto is Educating Hearts and Minds in the Holy Cross Tradition. My friend Jason attended a Catholic Church and invited me to go with him. I wanted to learn how to become a catholic, http://www.ehow.com/how_5898076_convert-catholisism-become-true-catholic.html offered great information. The Lancers came a long way in their 2010-2011 season from their ranks in their 2009-2010 season. Their previous National Rank was 25th and their State Rank was 12th. Their stats from last season were Overall 27-6-0 and for their League 3-2-0. They had the same coach both seasons, but their perseverence brought them up to the No. 1 spot. You have to admire the determination and dedication it took for this team to overcome last season and play their way to the top. So if you are interested in high school volleyball keep an eye on the Lancers. Let’s see if they can keep it up!
